Ermine Moth

Ermine Moth

DescriptionFeeding on giant hogweed near the church.  After ploughing through the heavily overgrown path across the field, this was under the chestnut tree on the roadside.  Since putting a completely pointless gate in, it seems no-one is walking their dog across the bottom field any more.  In fact a lot of paths are getting lost in the nettles in the wet weather which with the rash of pointless fences is dissuading people from using the countryside.  That aside, it is a good year for moths so far.  This has been reprocessed in linear mode in Affinity, which is revealing more detail and giving more natural contrast.
