| Description | Taken with the Tamron 90mm with the tube fitted at roughly 1:1 magnification. This is a combination of 2 out of 6 or more frames. I was trying to get the eye sharp, but handheld without any other support, getting the focus stopped down, or closing the aperture manually was making focussing hard, even with focus peaking on. I got a number of frames trying this, and out of them 1 had the focus on the eye sharply, the other I selected had the bramble more in focus and the same framing. the others were blurry, the fly had moved or a slightly different composition. I think the aperture was shut tightly at f32, but I was experimenting with f32 and f11. The ISO is raised, and the flash has fired at full power, but I'm not sure. The individual depth of field is not huge, but there seems little diffraction, but that seems true with images I know were taken at f32. Either way, this shows you can get good results with this lens. |
