| Description | Extreme Ultra Macro alert. This is the reversed Nikkor 50mm onto the bellows, with 1.4x teleconverter, and a Raynox 250 on the front. Side lit by the 2 Manfrotto units since the lens is about 1cm away from the flower. The field of view here is less than 1mm, depth of field about 1.5mm. Cotton candy anyone? Unfortunately this highlighted how dirty the MkIII sensor has become, and I found a scratch on the 1.4x teleconverter, which is not visible when used in tele mode, on the 180mm, but is visible at small apertures macro. Fortunately perhaps it's the CZ teleconverter, not the Olympus, but still annoying. I'm yet to try the Mitakon with the Raynox, and see what I can get up to with that since it should have a better working distance. Though I'd be surprised if it gets this sharp. |
